Daycare Age Groups: 2 Months to 6 Years We teach the children environmental awareness and interaction with the natural world around them and encourage an understanding of healthy eating habits. Emphasis is placed largely on each child's instinctive abilities to learn through play - so we will be having lots of fun!! We also teach the basics of shapes, colours and numbers. Fine skills are developed in our creative activitie based on a wide variety of themes. More skills are developed in our spacious outdoor play area, with activities such as ball games, music and movement. At Little Gems Educare daycare / nursery school a balance between education, development and fun is very important to us. We are keeping our classes very small to ensure that your child receives that personal attention that they deserve. Our teachers at Little Gems daycare / creche are all qualified with diplomas up to grade R and they have first aid diplomas as well. Our daycare centre is focussed so that by the time your children start school, they are already halfway through their childhood education and development. Our daycare / nursery school is focussed on the child's physical development, creative development, life skills, emotional development, social development, social interaction, self confidence, obedience and literacy. Other day care / pre-school education development Life Skills - We focus on the following: thinking skills, confidence skills, communication skills. Literacy - Our pre-school centre is here to develop the child's ability to read and write. Social Interaction - Our pre-school centre is here to develop the relationships between different individuals. Obedience - Our pre-school centre is here to develop the obedience of the child to carry out reasonable commands and to follow orders given by an authority figure. Computer Skills - Our pre-school centre is here to train the child how to work with the software and hardware (mouse, keyboard...) of a computer. |
