OUR AIM at Doddwoods Day Care is to provide a warm, loving, secure environment for your little ones to explore, discover, learn and grow into happy, confident little individuals. Your little ones will enjoy a stress-free environment with a range of fun and stimulating activities. They will have the continued support and encouragement from all our committed staff to enjoy the natural pleasures of childhood.
First Aid Training in Childcare - all staff at Doddwoods Day Care are qualified in attending to immediate medical emergencies.
Security - Doddwoods Day Care, Doddwoods House is fully enclosed and walled on ALL sides and access is fully monitored by an access gate. Safety is of paramount importance and no unauthorised person will be allowed access. Collection instructions are strictly adhered to.
We supply a wholesome breakfast and lunch and parents are asked to supply a wholesome morning snack (yoghurt) with a juice and afternoon snack (fruit / sandwich / biscuit) and a juice.

We have 4 classes
BUTTERFLY CLASS: 0 - 6 months.
Individual care, love and attention is given to no more than 6 babies in this class. All feeds, nappy changes, sleep times and medication is recorded in a book provided by the mom and dad. These little ones receive stimulating and nurturing interaction and as with all our groups are NEVER left unattended.
BUNNY CLASS: 6 - 12 months.
As these little ones start to explore, sit, crawl and learn, they are already stimulated by song and movement/ dance, toys, interaction with other babies their age, colours and lots of personal, individual care. Feeds, nappy changes, sleep times and medication is recorded in a book provided by mom and dad if they so wish. No more than 6 babies - and personally managed and cared for and never left unattended.
PUPPY CLASS: 12 months - 2 years.
These little ones are FULL of energy and love interactive learning and are able to enjoy and participate in lots of new activities. They will enjoy a more structured way of "fun learning" where they will practice hand / eye co-ordination, motor skills, enjoy music and movement and learn songs and actions, play dough for imaginitive play, giant lego, puzzles, drawing, outside play which includes balls, waterplay, the sand pit (we are in full attendance so they do not eat the sand!). They begin to learn numbers, alphabet, colours, shapes and start understanding the concept of sharing, not hurting others and apologising.
This class will have a maximum of 12 little ones.
TIGGER CLASS: 2 - 3 years.
This is a very interactive and educational class. POTTY TRAINING starts in this class. Weekly themes are taught and in line with their age in an enjoyable way to encourage learning animals, shapes, daily activities, colour, social interaction and fairness, cleanliness, manners, etc. They paint, create their own impressions , express themselves through art, drawing, enjoy music and movement, alphabet, numbers, puzzles, play dough, outdoor play on the jungle gym and slide, the sand pit ( regularly sanitized), bikes, bean bags (learning balancing, shape, colour)etc .
This class has a maximum of 16 toddlers.
